NWS has moved their track a little bit more west, but as of this writing, Gustav is now a cat 4 storm and is approaching the Island of Youth in Cuba. Should enter the Gulf later tonight and start shoving waves our way. High pressure in the Gulf is subsiding somewhat and may not push the storm to the west as I thought for the past few days. Time will tell.

I actually started entering info from Gustav because it appears we may have to deal with the storm itself, of the high surf conditions and large waves.

It will be interesting to see if these models can bend the storm into accuracy.  Notice both model guesses, then look at the track history. It is easy to tell that the storm has not made that 90 degree bend to the left to catch up with the models.  If you look at the track history, it has not shown anything like the bend to the left that they keep predicting.
